Obituary of Phyllis McKanas

Dudley- Phyllis McKanas, 89, Went to be home with her loving Jesus on Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital with her loving family and devoted husband John at her side She is survived by her husband of 42 years John McKanas and two daughters: Bonnie J. Khoo and her husband Chye of Dudley and Kay Comptois and her husband Ken of Douglas, MA; two sisters: Laura Lemar of Dexter, ME, Carolyn Cowperwaite of Houlton, ME . Three grandchildren Tammy Comptois of Webster,Tracy Brooks of Oxford and Scott Comptois of Conyers Ga. six great grandchildren Addison ,Abigail and Aaron Comptois , Leah,Erika and Daena Brooks. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her two beloved babies Diane and Charlette Dunham. Sisters Goldie Young,Olive Ackerman and Opal MacDonald. Brothers Arnold Ellis and Carroll Ellis. Phyllis was born in Littleton , ME. She is the daughter of the late George Eben and the late Sadie (Brewer) Ellis. She was employed as Deli Clerk at Capitol Supermarket in Lynn where she meet John . Phyllis was a member of Charlton Baptist Church . Family would like to thank the nursing staff at pulmonary ICU at St. Vincent Hospital and Dr. Luigi Pacifico for his above and beyond care for Phyllis . The funeral will be held 11 AM on Thursday, January 21 at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, with Pastor Steve Norby officiating burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster .
