Dudley/ East Killingly- Mary (Lavoie) Haven, 89, of 1560 North Rd., died Sunday, January 27 in Westview Nursing Care & Rehab., Dayville, CT. She married Carl Haven on February 5, 1937 and spent 57 years with him until he passed in 1994.
She leaves one son: Herbert Haven of East Killingly. Two grandchildren, Brenda Wilson of Woodstock and Paul Haven of Brooklyn, Four great- grandchildren Jessica and Brittani Wilson. Christian and Brandon Haven. Nieces and nephews, Rita Bourdia , Wallace Bomster and her favorite Karen Bomster
all of Dayville, CT. Predeceased by sister, Rita Riemer
She was born in Manchaug section of Sutton , MA, the daughter of the late Henry and Marie Ann (Paris) Lavoie. She lived many years on Old Southbridge Rd. in Dudley and worked as a furniture polisher at the Waterhouse and later Ethan Allen companies . Has lived in East Killingly for 10 years until her recent stay at Westview. Mary was a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Quinebaug.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31 at 11AM in Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley. Burial will follow in Corbin Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 AM . Flowers may be sent.
