Dudley - Anthony "Tony" Polletta, 79 A wonderful man died on Nov.18th surrounded by his loving family and friends. He leaves behind Lorraine Katrenak of Webster , his companion, caregiver and inspiration. His daughter Maria O'Connor and husband Rory of Oxford, sons Anthony Jr. and wife Janice of Charlton, Vincent and fiance Paula of Dudley with whom he lived and Gino and wife Ann of Holden, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Tony was born March 2, 1926 in Dudley to Vincenzo and Francesca Polletta. He leaves his sisters Edith Oliosi and husband Gordon and Rose Silvestri and husband John; brothers Henry and wife Lorraine and Louie. Predeceased by sibling Alfred,Guerrino,Mary and his former wife Anne.He Also leaves many nieces, nephews and his best friend Bob Harris . On his 17th birthday Tony left Bartlett High School to enlist in the Marines where he served two tours in the South Pacific. He retired after 41 years as a supervisor for the Mass DPW. He was a retired member of the Webster Police Dept. and spent many summers Patrolling the waters of Webster Lake. He graduated from Bartlett High School with the class of 2003 . A life member of American Legion Post 184 and the DAV. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and those who knew him. Tony was a man who knew how to live life to the fullest.
Tony's funeral with Military honors will be held TUESDAY Nov. 22 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Avenue, Dudley, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster. Calling hours will be held on MONDAY from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM . Burial of his ashes will be
