Dudley - Cecelia Canty, 90 died peacefully May 23 in Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston, MA.
Her husband of 56 years John Canty died in 2002.
She leaves two sons: John Alan Canty and his wife Debbie of Woodbine, MD and Kenneth P. Canty and his wife Teri of Dudley. Two sisters: Victoria Ceppetelli of Webster and Katherine Condos of Dudley.
Six grandchildren Timothy, Jedd, Michael, Anthony, Joseph and Jessica . Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Matthew Canty, her brothers John, Frank, Peter and Raymond Wielock and a sister Josephine Nolin .Her first husband James Mangan was killed in action during WWII.
She was born in Thompson Ct. daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Rozek) Wieloch. She attended Bartlett High School. She worked at the A.O. in Southbridge and 30 years as a Presser at Twin City Cleaners in Dudley. She was a communicant of St. Louis Church. Cecelia was a true farmer's daughter and took great pride in her garden . She loved to share her vegetables with family, friends and co- workers.
Calling hours will be held on Monday May 26 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave. followed by a Mass at 10 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster with committal prayers at Calvary Cemetery, Oxford Ave, Dudley. WWW.bartelfuneralhome.com
