Dudley - Martin George, 77, of 5 George St., died Sunday, November 9 in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster after being stricken ill at his home.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Antkowiak) George.
one daughter: Barbara Van Dyke and her husband Robert of Spencer, Ma.
one son: Martin George Jr. and his wife Annette of Galena, IL
Three grandsons, Robbie Van Dyke; Dustin Van Dyke; and Jason Van Dyke all of Spencer.
He was born in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Thomas and the late Mary (Slota) George. He grew up in Webster and lived most of his married life in Dudley. He graduated from Worcester Trade School Martin enjoyed playing the accordion and organ with the band at Worcester Trade School. Martin was a Cabinetmaker for 30 years making Custom Cabinets with Iaccarino & Son Co. in West Boylston retiring in 2002. He enjoyed water skiing all three ponds of Webster Lake with his family . He loved spending time with his three grandsons playing pool and watching them play baseball and basketball .
