Obituary of Marie Lemay

Webster/Thompson - Marie Agnes (Bety) Lemay, 89, of 63 Jezierski Lane, died peacefully Monday, July 13 . She leaves her six children : 2 sons and 4 daughters: Robert Lemay and his wife Jeanine of Dudley, Jocelyne Porter and her husband Joseph of Oxford, Yolande Jones and her husband John of Hardwick, Sylvie Howard and her husband John of Charlton, Rene Lemay and his wife Sally of Woodstock, CT and Connie Jezierski and her husband Alan of Thompson, CT. A brother: Joseph Bety and A sister: Lydia Giroux both in Canada. Marie was a grandmother to 17 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews Predeceased by her husband, Lucien Lemay in 1971 . She was born and raised in Quebec, the daughter of the late Adelard and Exelia ( Lemay) Bety. Marie and her husband came to Webster from Quebec in 1960 . She lived 36 years in Webster and the past 13 with her daughter in Thompson. She worked several years at Angelo Fabrics . Mrs. Lemay was a member of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church and the Ladies Of St. Anne and was a devoted weekly adorer at the Emmaus Center. Marie was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors , most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her funeral will be held Thursday from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Of Jesus Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday JULY 15 from 5 to 8 PM . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to .
