Webster - Irene T (Zablocki) Kaliszewski, 89, of 28 Goddard St, died Thursday, September 17 in St.Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a short illness. Her husband of 66 years, Stanley Kaliszewski died last December.
She leaves three sons: Carl Kaliszewski of Charlton, Mark Kaliszewski and his wife Linda of Webster, John Kaliszewski and his wife Donna of Dudley. Four grandchildren Matt. Aaron,Shelly and Samantha. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter, Rita Kaliszewski
She was born in Webster, MA, the daughter of the late Anthony and Blanche (Mackiewicz) Zablocki. She worked many years at Webster Shoe, Bates Shoes and Sandlerette
Mrs. Kaliszewski was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the PAV Auxiliary . She graduated from Bartlett H.S. class of 1938 She was blessed with 66 years of marriage to her husband Stanley and enjoyed traveling and fine dining with him and was heart broken when Stan passed last December. This past June she was honored by Rotary International with a Paul Harris Fellow Award ,at her son Carl's installation as president of the Sturbridge Rotary Club.
Her funeral will be held Monday Sept. 21 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 5 to 8 PM .In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570 or to Rotary International -Sturbridge Club PO Box 357 Sturbridge ,Ma. 01566
