Obituary of Edward G. Oliver

Webster - Edward G. Oliver, 75, died unexpectedly Monday, March 1 in Transitional Care Unit at Hubbard campus of Harrington Healthcare , Webster , MA. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Natalie (Cordeiro) Oliver. Two sons: Andrew Oliver of Douglas, MA, and David Oliver of Douglas, MA two sisters: Catherine Boutin of Fairhaven, MA, Clara Catarino of New Bedford, MA and a brother: William Oliver of Westport, MA . Three cherished grandchildren granddaughter, Hannah Oliver ; Granddaughter, Paige Oliver Grandson, Seth Oliver all of Douglas, MA; Several nieces and nephews. He was born in Westport, MA, the son of the late William and the late Annie (Souza) Oliver . He lived Most his life in New Bedford he moved to Webster nine years ago to be close to his sons .He worked as a Domestic Buyer for 30 years for Mars Department Stores before retiring . Edward enjoyed spending time with his family, his three grandchildren were the light of his life. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday March 11 at 11:00 AM in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug St., Douglas. Burial will be private in St. John Cemetery New Bedford.
