Obituary of Nilsa Durkee

Webster - Nilsa E. ( Escribano) Durkee, 58, of 241 School St., died Tuesday, June 8 in Hubbard Campus of Harrington Hospital, Webster after being stricken ill at home. She leaves her four children three sons: Julio M. Casiano ,Arden E. Casiano, Julio I Casiano And one daughter: Nilsa L. Durkee . Her parents Luis and Luz (Padilla) Escridano .one brother: Ivan Vaquer three sisters: Ana olga Vaquer, Sandra Figueroa, Wanda Ramos Her eight grandchildren Tyanna, Alysia, Adrian, Serena, Isaiah, Damalys, Alexander and Yianna She was born in Comerio Puerto Rico She came to Springfield Mass at the age of 21 and lived many years in Springfield ,Holyoke, Worcester and Spencer and moved to Webster 3 years ago. She was a disc jockey for many years in Springfield. She graduated from Springfield Technical Community College. Lived in Webster for the past 3 years . She worked as a social worker for many years in state government and in the private sector. Nilsa had a great love for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She would watch cartoons for hours.
