Obituary of Joseph M. Tarsa

Dudley - Joseph M. Tarsa, Sr., 94 died Sunday, December 19 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge after a brief illness. His wife of 56 years, Lottie (Milas) Tarsa died in 1998. He leaves one daughter: Nancy Caporale and her husband Mario of Reading, MA one son: Joseph Tarsa of Dudley, MA two sisters: Mary Kroll of Uxbridge, MA and Jennie Gniadek of Whitter, CA, Three; Grandchildren Anthony, Heather and Tina. Several nieces and nephews, Predeceased by a sister, Stasia Logan He was born in Douglas, MA, the son of the late Michael and Mary (Grzyb) Tarsa. He served in the Navy with the Sea Bees during WWII . He lived most all his life in Dudley. Joseph was a Master Carpenter for over 40 years . His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday Dec. 22 at 11 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster with military honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council. Calling hours are Wednesday prior to mass from 9 AM to 10 :30 AM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, MA.
