Obituary of Marie Rose Chauvin

Dudley - Marie Rose Chauvin, 95, died peacefully Monday, June 4, 2012 in Dudley. Her husband of 38 years, Walter Chauvin died in 1988. She leaves 5 children: Diane wife of the Late Dale Aldridge of Kenai, AK, Paul Chauvin and his wife Katherine of Dudley, Louis Chauvin and his wife Karen of Gurnee IL, Robert Chauvin and his wife Dory of Douglas, MA and Renelle Cameron of Dudley. One brother: Rene Savoie of Montreal, Canada, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marie was born and raised in Joliette, Canada the daughter of the late Moise and the late Diana (LaPorte) Savoie. She first came to the United States in 1943 to visit family, then returned to care for her cousin's children, Patricia and Roger Gaumond, and in June of 1956 became an American citizen. Mom was an accomplished seamstress, home-maker, her cooking was enjoyed by many. She was a devoted wife and mother, her greatest joy was her family. Marie was a member of Ladies of St. Anne at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. A funeral will be held Thursday June 7, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, MA.
