Dudley - Claire C. (Pehoviak) Plante, 91, died peacefully Thursday, June 6 at Webster Manor after a period of declining health. Her husband Henry Plante died in 1971 .
She leaves three daughters: June and her husband Bobby Simonelli of Woodstock, CT, Gayle wife of the late Pat Didonato Sr.of Dudley and Joyce and her husband Gerry Asselin of Dudley.
5 grandchildren Todd Losee, Tracy Axtell, Pat DiDonato Jr., Gia DiDonato-Sroczenski, and Sasha Strong. 6 Great-Grand children Zachary Losee, Christian Losee, Nathaniel Losee, George Axtell,Sevanna Claire and Emery Lee Sroczenski . Sister In-law, Joan Pehoviak , A special niece Elaine Jean, and her care giver Pat Gilbert. Several nieces and nephews . She loved her faithful dog Tina.
Predeceased by 2 brothers Howard and Clifford Pehoviak and her sister Dorothy Chabot.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Catherine (Lanigan) Pehoviak. She graduated from Bartlett High School class of 1939 and lived here all her life. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
She was the manager of the ladies department at Mammoth Mart for many years . She later was the muffin lady at the Coffee Cup baking her famous muffins at her daughter's restaurant.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10 from the Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Webster . Calling hours will be held on Sunday June 9th from 2 - 4 & 6 -8 PM .wwwbartelfuneralhome.com
