Dudley - Ruth Johnson, 102, formerly of Dudley Oxford Rd., died Thursday, May 30 ,2013 in Sterling Village, Sterling, MA. After a period of declining health. Her husband Spencer G. Johnson died in 1985. She leaves step -daughter, Doris Cross of Colorado Springs, CO; Granddaughter, Pamela Mortell of Paxton, MA; granddaughter, Cheryl Cosky of CO; grandson, Jeffrey Cross of Westborough, MA; 6 great grandchildren. one brother: Clarence Stevens of CT She was born in Thompson, CT, the daughter of the late Clarence and the late Edna (Blackmer) Stevens. She worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone and Verizon. Mrs. Johnson lived in her own home in Dudley to age 93 she then spent 8 years in assisted living and the past 2 years at sterling Village . She enjoyed rug hooking and loved to cook for family and friends.
