He is survived by his wife of 55 years Ann(Manzi) Flynn,
daughter Marie and her husband John Coates of Hubbardston, MA; son John and his wife Kelly Flynn of Marblehead, MA; daughter Katie and her husband Ted O'Reilly of Hingham, MA; sister Margaret Wilkinson of Canton, NY and three brothers: Vernon Flynn and his wife Maxine of West Jefferson, OH; Peter Flynn of Southwick, MA; Paul Flynn and his wife Ruth of Westfield, MA. Grandchildren Kevin, Kayla and Daniel Coates. Jack and Sarah O'Reilly, Ava, Miles and Lucy Flynn. A special godson Tommy. Many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brother Thomas Flynn and his wife Josie, sister Helen and her husband Pasquale Albano, sister-in-law Carol Flynn, and brother-in-law Randy Wilkinson,.
He was born in Barre, MA. John is the son of the late Vernon and Margaret (Guilderson) Flynn. He graduated from Barre High School and served his country in the US Army and US Navy.
John was the owner of Oxford Auto Parts and Lakeside Lumber in Oxford for many years before retiring. John was a member of Knights of Columbus, Council 228 and was a Past Grand Knight .
His funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 1 at 9 AM from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10AM on Saturday, Oct.1 at St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster, MA.
