Obituary of Raymond A. St. Marie

Raymond Arthur St. Marie, Sr., 80, of Dudley, passed away October 2, 2016 after a long illness. Raymond was the son of the late William C. and Florence (St. Germain). Raymond was born at home on August 14, 1936 in Dudley. Ray attended Bartlett High School and played semi-pro basketball, the accordion and guitar and grew up singing with his family; passing on his love of music to his children and grandchildren. Raymond served in the Army Finance Corps as a Specialist 3rd Class and witnessed the erection of the Berlin Wall. Ray worked as an accountant for businessman and former Senator Arthur E. Chase for over 55 years. Ray is survived by his siblings Muriel, William, Leon, Geraldine, and Elaine; his brothers in-law Michael (Deb) and Robert (Michelle) Errington and nine children: Raymond (Nanette), Monique, Michel (Brenda), Suzanne, Leeann, Jonathan (Patricia), Robert (Ruth), Thomas, Jesse (Stephanie), grandchildren: Matthew, Timothy, Raymond, Tiffany, Christine, James, Gabriella, Joshua, Hannah, Nathan, Amber, Gabriel, Sam, David, Patsy Rae and great grandchildren: Ezio, and Gregor. Ray was predeceased by Patsy (Errington), his wife of 45 years, his first wife, Joan Riopel, his sisters Alice, Lillian, Lorraine, and his youngest son Daniel William (2015). Calling hours will be Fri, Oct 7, 2016 6-8 pm with a prayer service at 8pm at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Ave, Dudley, MA. www.bartelfuneralhome.com
