Obituary of Norman Scheffler

Norman Scheffler, 90 passed peacefully on January 6, 2017 at the home of his son David. He leaves his wife of 66 years Irene (Rouleau) Scheffler, his son David Scheffler and his wife Janet (Conti) Scheffler of Webster, two Grandchildren Katherine Scheffler of Hull MA and Thomas Scheffler of Newton MA.
He also leaves his sister Jeanette (Scheffler) Stefanov and her husband Eddie, his brother John Scheffler and his wife Barbara. He is preceded in death by his two older brothers Raymond and Edgard Scheffler. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Norman was born in Webster, the son of John and Arzelia (Provost) Scheffler. He graduated from Bartlett High School. Norman proudly served his country during World War II enlisting in the Merchant Marines and then the Armed Forces.
He worked at Webster Lens in Webster MA for over twenty years. The second half of his career was spent managing the facilities department for the Dudley Charlton Regional School district.
His family would like to thank the great staff at UMASS Memorial Hospital for their care and attention. They also wish to express their gratitude to the wonderful team at Central Mass Hospice for their efforts and kindness enabling Norman to pass gracefully at home.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday January 8, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel33 Schofield Avenue in Dudley MA. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis Church, 14 Lake Street in Webster on Monday January 9, 2017 at 10:00.Burial will follow in Calvary cemetery
