Obituary of William Francis Lavigne V
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
DUDLEY William Francis Lavigne V, age 42, of Dudley, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Landmark Hospital of Woonsocket, RI. William was born April 7, 1975, in Worcester, MA. He was employed by Vertiv, formerly Emerson, as a Field Service Electrical Technician for the past 18 years.
He leaves behind his best friend and beloved wife of 15 years, Stacey (McBow) Lavigne, and their three cherished children, William VI, age 13, Aurora, age 10, and Arabella, age 8. He is survived by his parents, William and Kathleen (Connor) Lavigne, of Dudley; and his sister, Jennifer Hearn and her partner, Scott Daigneault, of Chicopee. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Sylvia (Cote) Connor; and several aunts and uncles, including Mary and Bill Lasher of Ohio, Barbara and Rick Dacri of Maine, Steph and Mike Connor of Georgia, Cindy and Pete Roberts of Charlton, and Steve and Tammy Connor of Virginia. Bill leaves behind his wife's Australian family; his father- and mother-in-law Brian and Lyn McBow, his sisters-in-law, Tamara and Megan, and his brother-in-law, Florian. He is also survived by many loving cousins and his nieces, Keira, Matisse and Amira.
Bill graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 1993, and lived most of his life in Dudley. He lived six years in San Diego where he proudly served in the Navy as an IC2 from 93 to 99, and during the Persian Gulf War. He was a Plankowner aboard the USS Harpers Ferry. It was during his final Navy WESTPAC that he met the love of his life. Bill was a devoted husband, father and family man. As his uncle stated, it must have taken an Army of angels to pull him away from Stacey and their munchkins.
Bill loved to play video games with his son, Will, listen to rock music with his daughter, Aurora, and ride rollercoasters with his daughter, Arabella. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and parents. Bill was easily one of the funniest people to grace this world, and was always joking and entertaining others with his quick wit. He was a friend to all, and loved deeply by many. He will be missed beyond measure.
Fair winds and following seas. Rest easy, Bill, we now have the watch.
