Thompson- Harry D. Willis 89 died peacefully April 10 at his home. His wife of 64 years Mildred E. ( Frissell) Willis died in 2004.
He leaves six children David V. Willis and his wife Louise of Mesquite Nevada, Mary Jean Donovan and her husband Joseph , Joyce Willis and Patricia E. Dumas all of Thompson, Richard E. Willis and his wife Marisa of Miami Fla. and Dr.
Robert J. Willis and his wife Wanda of Wilbraham Ma. Two sisters Ruth Ober of NH and Joyce Mayer of N.C. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren .
He was born in Shickley Nebraska son of Henry G. and Bertha C. (Brallier) Willis , at the age of 10 and upon the death of his mother he was raised by E.J. and Merle Willis in Creston Iowa he returned to Dudley to attend Bartlett H.S.
Harry worked for the Norton Co. and then at Packard Mills and then drove tractor trailers for the P. Wajer Express Co. retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Teamster.
A Memorial Service and burial at Corbin Cemetery in Dudley will be held at the convenience of the family . Please Omit flowers donations to the Quinebaug Volunteer Fire Dept. Route 197 Quinebaug Ct. 06262 or to Hospice of Northeastern Ct. 320 Pomfret St. Putnam Ct.06260. Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel 33 Schofield Ave assisted the family
