Robert Morin, 89, of Webster past away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family at his home on the lake. Robert was born October 11, 1931 in Webster, MA. He is the son of the late Oliva and the late Ida (Racicot) Morin.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lorraine (Ceppetelli) Morin, two daughters: Lynn Morin, Jeanne Smith and husband Robert. Three sons: Gary Morin and his wife Sharil, Wayne Morin and his wife Marilene, Robert Morin and his wife Megan. He is predeceased by his daughter Shelly (Morin) Ablondi. Robert leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Chad and Seth Morin, Kalin and Tyler Smith, Troy and Max Morin, Luke, Allie, and Jacob Ablondi, as well as, son in law John Ablondi. Robert is also predeceased by brothers Bernard, Norman, and Donald, along with his sister Constance.
Robert attended Mount St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket, RI., New England School of Photography in New Haven, CT, and Winona School of Photography and Videography in Gary, Indiana.
Robert was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Navy from 1951 to 1953. He loved photography and received many awards throughout his career. Robert was the founder of Morin Studios and Jewelry Store in Southbridge, MA., a third-generation business now run by his son Rob.
Bob was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish and enjoyed living on Webster Lake for 60 years. One of his greatest joys in life was sharing his lake home with his beloved wife Lorraine and the rest of his family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Monday, December 28 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster, MA. Burial with military honors will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. www.bartelfuneralhome.com for Bob's online guestbook. Covid-19 precautions will be in place at mass and cemetery.
