Josephine S Bottieri, 98, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center. Josephine was born October 12, 1922 in Putnam, CT. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Fronczek and Anna (Rygiel, Fronczek) Brick. She is predeceased by her siblings, Helen, Margaret, Frank, and Stanley. Her loving husband Ernest Bottieri died in 1999.
She is survived by one daughter: JoAnne Kruger and her husband Stan Kilbreth of Nashua NH. Two sons: Bob Bottieri, his wife LaVonne of Vancouver BC, and Charles Bottieri and his wife Elizabeth of Pomfret Center, CT. Loving grandmother to Erika, her husband Ryan Charboneau, and Katherine, Carmelo, Serenidad, Bottieri. She leaves great grandchildren, Mila and Brody.
A long-time resident of Dudley, she was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the choir and the Interfaith Stitchers. She was an election worker for decades and a board member of the Dudley Council on Aging. She was most recently honored for her volunteer work by the dedication of "Jo's Garden" at Dudley Senior Center. Josie recently moved to Christopher Heights, social and outgoing, she loved the community living. She worked at Pratt and Whitney in support of the war effort during WWII and worked many years as a stitcher at B&W Footwear.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, May 22 at St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd., Dudley, Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley
Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 9 AM to 10 AM at her church.
