Obituary of Dorothy H Daviau

Dorothy H. (Spiewakowski) Daviau, 90, of Webster died peacefully Friday, December 3, 2021 at her home in Webster with her family at her side. Dorothy was born March 6, 1931 in North Grosvenordale, CT. She is the daughter of the late Francis and the late Catherine (Duszlak) Spiewakowski. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Earl A. Daviau in 2006. She is survived by her son Richard Daviau of Webster, her daughter Debra Daviau Savoie and her husband Paul of Union, CT and her grandson, Brett Savoie of Queens, NY. She leaves two sisters: Theresa Kudron of North Brookfield and Barbara Leduc of Webster and two brothers: Walter Spiewakowski of Dudley, and Francis "Spin" Spiewakowski Jr. of Thompson, CT and many nieces and nephews. She was employed by American Optical and Cabot Safety for 45 years as an inspector in the frames department and later an office assistant before retiring in 1995. Her family was the joy of her life. She was a beloved mom, Nanu and sister. She enjoyed the tranquility of the White Mountains and finding good deals at yard sales. She volunteered for the Webster Little League for many years during her husband's tenure as Little League president. Her children express their gratitude to Care Central VNA & Hospice and her compassionate caregivers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, December 16 at St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the church. Face coverings are strongly encouraged.
