Obituary of Kermit A Phelps

DUDLEY: Kermit Alden Phelps, born in Oxford MA on December 24, 1935, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023. Kerm was married to the love of his life Barbara (Bastek) Phelps for 66 years. He was the son of William E. Phelps & Zelma Bandlow. He leaves his children: Cherryll Esse, Kim Maple & husband Donald; Joel Phelps & wife Jacqueline, Cindy Siegmund, Bob Stebbins; Jody Phelps & wife Joanne. He leaves his grandchildren: Amie Siegmund, Sara Maple & Dan Daigle, Andrew, Tiffany & Sherman Miers, Breanna Stone & Morgan, Danielle Favata & Carl, Nathan Phelps, David & Mandie Palubeckis. His great-grandchildren Hudson & Grayson Stone, Anthony Favata, Dimitri & Collin Burtt. Kerm also leaves his sister-in-law Susan Phelps, Eunice Bastek & nephews/nieces. Predeceased siblings, Sherman Phelps, Jeffrey E. Phelps. Kerm leaves many local close friends. Kerm was a Master Mechanic for Local 4 IUOE prior to retirement. He owned and operated Kerm's Cycle Shop in Oxford for many years. He was a Mason at Oxford Masonic Lodge. Kerm's hobbies included racing and fixing motorcycles and Crosley's. He was a Ford man! The family would like to thank the staff at the Meadows in Rochdale and his care giver Gerry Davis. Funeral will be at Dudley First Congregational Church on Feb.11, 2023 at 11 a.m. burial will follow in Corbin Cemetery Corbin Rd. Dudley. at the request of the family there are no calling hours.
