Obituary of Willard Philip Tower

Willard Philip Tower, age 77, of Worcester, died Monday, July 8, 2024 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center -University Campus after being stricken ill at his home. Willard Tower was born April 23, 1947 in Webster, MA. He is the son of the late Albert Tower and the late Dorothy M (Maloney) Tower. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war from 08/31/1967 to 08/28/1970. After his service to his country Professor, taught in Arizona, and Massachusetts, a man of letters, philanthropist, an acerbic wit, who challenged and was loved by many. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Dorothy, and his brother Curtis and sister Carol Johnson, survived by nephews, Eric and Andrew, cousins and his dear friend Lee Alton of Millbury, MA Willard was a proud Vietnam Veteran who looked to help others .
