Dudley - Howard T. Pehoviak, 93, of 15 Lawrence Rd., died Sunday, November 25 in the T.C.U. at Hubbard Regional Hospital surrounded by his family . His wife of 59 years, Stasia M.(Zych) Pehoviak died in 1995.
He leaves a daughter Elaine M. Jean of Dudley a son Gerald Pehoviak and his wife Janice of Hebron, CT. Four grandchildren, Andrea Krensky of Sutton, Laurie Lavoie of Waterbury, VT;
Chris Pehoviak of Limburg, Germany and Stephen Jean of Oxford, 8 great grandchildren.
A sister: Claire Plante of Dudley and A brother: Clifford Pehoviak of Ashland, MA several nieces and nephews . Predeceased by a sister Dorothy Chabot.
He was born in Webster, the son of Stanley and Catherine (Lanigan) Pehoviak. He served in the Navy seaman First Class during WWII . Howard and Stasia were the proprietors of the El Jer Club for 15 years and then Dudley Package Store for 10 years both on West Main St. They enjoyed 22 years of retirement in Stuart Fla. He spent the past 10 years in Florida returning to his daughters home in 2005. Howard Loved the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed playing cribbage. A life member of Webster Lodge of Elks 1466.
His funeral will be held Wednesday Nov. 28 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial with Military Honors provided by the Webster -Dudley Veterans Council will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster. A Calling hour will be Wednesday Morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
