Webster - Richard D. Zack, 65, of 824 School St., died Dec. 15 in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston after a 3 1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Sandra(Rybacki) Zack.
two daughters: Tammy and her husband Alan Fournier of Dudley and Michelle Zack of Ocala, Fla
one brother: Raymond Zack and his wife Joanne of Dudley. Three grandsons Zachary, Alec and Logan .
Mother in-law Theresa Dembkowski and three sister in-laws Celeste Herron, Karen Labbe and Virginia Przystas. Two nephews James Hachigian and Ryan Labbe. Four nieces Lori Mazzola,Linda Page ,Debbie Zack and Melanie Hachigian . Five great nieces and nephews.
He was born in Webster the son of John and Martha (Jedrzynski) Zack. He lived most all his life in Dudley moving to Webster in 1984. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War stationed in Wethersfield England . He retired due to illness in 2004 from the Shrewsbury Post Office Distribution Center. Richard was a licensed Real Estate Agent and a former agent with Metropolitan Life for many years . Richard loved playing with his grandsons . He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica . He enjoyed gardening at his home and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed vacationing with friends and trips to Florida and Aruba .
His funeral will be Friday Dec. 21 from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Garden Of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 5 to 8 PM .
